This is a recipe all of our family enjoys that we have been making for a long time! It is always exciting to see how puffy the pancake is when it comes out of the oven!
Melt the butter
Mix the batter together.
Add the batter when the butter looks like this. The butter got a little browner than usual this time but this works fine, too.
Here it is! The PUFFY PANCAKE.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
Here is the basic recipe. It can be adjusted from here depending on how large you want it.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
4 Tbs butter
1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbs sugar
Set the oven to 425 degrees. Place butter in the pan and melt in the preheating oven. Meanwhile add eggs to a bowl and mix together then add flour, salt, sugar and vanilla. Pour in milk off to the side and mix it all together until smooth. At this point the oven should be preheated and the butter melted. Add the batter on top of the melted butter and return the pan to the oven to cook for about 20 minutes or until very puffy. Cut and serve with powdered sugar.
