These yummy bar cookies are so quick to make I hardly had time to take pictures of the process. Also they are so good to eat I never got any more pictures of the cute little yummy squares of these. Now they are gone. But they were so good! The recipe has been around for years. I remember Patti making them as part of her Christmas cookie trays. We had a Christmas cookie party this year and these definitely had to be part of it. This recipe is from the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk website.
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup (6 oz.) butterscotch-flavored chips
1 cup (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts (i used pecans)
HEAT oven 350°F.
COMBINE graham cracker crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly into bottom of prepared pan. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. I didn’t put the whole can down here but saved about a third to drizzle over the remaining ingredients. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with fork.
BAKE 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Loosen from sides of pan while still warm; cool on wire rack. Cut into bars or diamonds.
